A full landscape architecture project for a private estate in Nueva Andalucía, Marbella — entrance courtyard, pool garden, outdoor living pavilion, planting strategy and full architectural lighting scheme.

The Project
A complete landscape architecture commission for a private villa in Nueva Andalucía, Marbella. The design establishes a sequence of outdoor spaces unified by a consistent material language of white render, natural stone, teak timber and mature tropical planting.
The entrance courtyard is anchored by a specimen olive over cobbled paving, framed by crisp white architecture. The pool garden is organised around a 14-metre linear pool with teak deck, dedicated lounge zone and covered dining pavilion. Architectural lighting throughout — uplighting of specimen palms, perimeter path lighting, pool illumination and pavilion pendants — ensures the estate reads with equal quality after dark.

Babylon develops concept studies for prospective estates across the Mediterranean — defining the spatial, material and planting language of a landscape before construction begins.
Terraced gardens descending towards the polo valleys — a central water axis, mature cork oaks and an equestrian lawn.
Salt-wind planting of sabina pines and silver natives, resolving into a cliff-edge infinity line over the Mediterranean.
A sequence of walled gardens — citrus court, olive grove and a shaded water patio joined by stone thresholds.
A hillside estate of panoramic terraces, sculptural agaves and a fully choreographed architectural lighting scheme.

Our Philosophy
Every Babylon landscape is composed from four materials. Three are as old as the Hanging Gardens themselves. The fourth cannot be bought — only planned for.
Every great garden begins where water moves. Mirror pools, rills and silent channels are designed before a single plant is chosen — sound, reflection and coolness as architecture.
We design with shadow as deliberately as with sun. Each terrace and grove is choreographed for the hour it will truly be lived in — first coffee, long lunch, the gold of dusk.
Local stone, dry-laid walls, terraces that anchor architecture to its land. Structure conceived to outlast every fashion — and quietly outlive its makers.
A Babylon garden is planned in decades, not seasons. Specimen trees mature, hedges thicken, ecosystems settle — and the value of the estate compounds with them.
A garden is the slowest form of architecture — and the only one that becomes more valuable with every passing year.

We do not design gardens. We design the spatial, material and ecological identity of an estate — work that speaks the same architectural language as the building it surrounds, and gains in value as the landscape matures.
